The Learning Channel Drags Learning Through The Mud

Has anyone seen the programming line-up on The Learning Channel lately? What in the world are we supposed to be learning? I know all I’m getting is a better sense of why other countries look down on us as fat, arrogant, stupid Americans. There’s about a million shows on varying wedding themes involving dress hunting. There’s Hoarding: Buried Alive, which always makes me feel better about my linen closet. There’s Toddlers and Tiaras. This one helps me learn how not to treat my daughters and how other human beings can actually make me physically ill. They also have Extreme Couponing. Thanks TLC for helping grocery stores learn how they’re being abused so they could make it harder for the rest of us honest folks who don’t want to stock-pile for the great Pantene Famine. The most popular show on TLC has to be “Honey Boo-Boo”. All I’ve learned from this is that the 6-year-old star of the show:

Looks a lot like Baby Sinclair from the Dinosaurs show:

All they need is a scene with her saying…. NOT DA MOMMA NOT DA MOMMA

I agree and TLC really likes to focus on the glamorous portions of the South as wel (insert sarcasm here).
